Research in the Centre is based on large-scale micro levels national databases such as censuses and register data, surveys and qualitative data. Together with Statistics Estonia, CMUS is at the forefront in developing Estonian census and registers based longitudinal dataset, and participates in preparing the 2020 register based census in Estonia.
The CMUS hosts several international post-docs and guest researchers, and we warmly welcome new short- and long-term visitors. We are well connected to other research centres of population, migration and urban studies in Europe, we work closely with the planning institutions at different levels, and we provide Estonian and English language courses at Bachelor, Masters and Doctoral studies.
